This beautiful Spanish style custom home in Folsom overlooks the Parkway Nature Area. The home was built on two levels to accommodate the steeply sloped lot. When creating the front courtyard, we added a small retaining wall parallel to the street to enclose the space with stairs descending from the curb side guest parking spaces.
Central to the courtyard is the classic fountain with a planting circle at its base. The concrete was scored and jointed on diagonals then stained to complement the Spanish style and colors of the home.
The family has 2 energetic young children who will be using the lower back yard as their primary play area. Lawn areas at the side of the home and adjacent to the covered patio on the lower level provide them with plenty of soft space in which to play. Provisions were made to accommodate a future spa and privacy for the adults in the family.
Plans included custom design, planting plans, drainage, lighting, elevations, and slope retention recommendations.
